KingBlade::The Secret Mission
April 30th, 2006 by SalemChapter 36 – A storm raged on over the tallest mountain in Cragorus. Fist jumps from cave to cave as he makes his way up the rock wall, now turned into a waterfall. Fist sniffed around the cave. It smelled like another dead end. Fist looks outside and sticks his head out of the waterfall to look for the next cave. Then Fist uses his arms to jump to the next cave up and enters it. This was the one with the right scent. Fist shakes himself dry and heads down the cave. In the cave, Fist finds his bedding, belongings, and a small fire burning in the corner. “Fist,” said the warrior as he lies down on his bedding. Fist looks at a badly drawn picture of Zealot and growls before blowing out the small fire. The Mountain Dwarf turns as he covers himself with his blanket and falls to sleep.

Chapter 34 – It was a long trip with tension all over. There was no explanation for the roadblock and the Blade Masters had not encountered anyone for the rest of the trip to the foot of the Cragorus Mountains. The group set up camp by a river being fed by a sloped waterfall. The moon was full as it hung high in the sky lighting the rocks that surrounded them. The men got a good fire going with Emhril getting ready to cook something. “Time for a good bath,” said Selene and she and the other women gathered some clean clothes to put on after their bath in the river. Salem took Haiku by the hand and led the child to the river. “You guys keep a sharp eye out,” said Selene, “and no peeking Jarody.” Selene walked behind the wall of rocks blocking the camp’s view of the river. “Great, now I have to look,” said Jarody sitting next to Zealot at the fire. “Give the girls their privacy,” said Zealot. “This coming from the only guy in our group who is getting some,” said Jarody. “Aren’t you doing Vivien?” said David. “Yeah, but she doesn’t count. She does whatever I tell her to. It’s no fun doing someone who isn’t trying to resist you,” said Jarody. “You are one sick, sad person,” said Detective Pacer. “I’m not a person. I am Death, Mr. Detective,” said Jarody. “I knew that already. What I mean is your mind, in comparison to that of a normal person is just primitive,” said Detective Pacer. “Whatever. I’m going to take a look at the girls, they have got to be naked by now,” said Jarody.
Chapter 33 – It did not take long for Christina to find Vivien, for Vivien had just got one last belly full of Jarody’s blood. Christina landed just in front of Vivien and began to talk to her slowly in a loud voice, “Selene wants us to get everyone,” yelled Christina as she opened up her arms as if she were about to give Vivien a hug, “EVERYONE! And bring them,” continued Christina now mimicking as if she just gathered something in her arms and began to pull what ever it was to her, “HERE,” now pointing to where she is standing, “Back to the TidusBlade. THE! TIDUS! BLADE,” yelled Christina now pointing to the mammoth sword behind them. Vivien writes something in her PDA then turns it for Christina to read, “I’m mute, not stupid.” “I am sorry Vivien. I just wanted to make sure you understood me,” said Christina. Vivien shows Christina her PDA again, “You fly to the hill and I will fly to the other side.” “Yes, we will find them faster if we split up,” said Christina. The two women took to the sky and went their own way to find the others.

Chapter 32 – The huge desk in the oak paneled room made the room look smaller than it really was. The room was so quiet; only the click clocking sound of the large redwood ancestor clock’s pendulum could be heard. Paintings of the creators of Gin’s Blade were on the walls in artists’ interpretationistic poses. A bird headed man with wings on his arms was holding them out to shade faceless people from the suns. A jackal headed man with a long stick stood at the stern of a ship, towering over a crew of faceless skeletons traveling on what is commonly known as the River of the Dead. A black cat was asleep in the middle of the room, snoring away and deep in a dream. Suddenly the only door leading into the room opened waking the cat as a burst of sound broke the silence.
Chapter 31 – The TidusBlade leaves the open sea and enters the largest river on Colloquy to reach the Gaza shipping port in the country now called Isis. On the sea deck, watching the bank of the river roll past are the twins, Captain Koror and the other Blade Masters. “We have to go to the Hoofar’s Palace and ask the current Hoofar for permission to pass through the country to reach the border of Cragorus,” explained Selene. “So is this country still called Ted?” asked Salem. “No, actually there is a female Hoofar. They have renamed their country, Isis,” said James. So the new Hoofar is Hoofar Isis?” asked Selene. “Well that is much better name then Hoofar Ted,” said Salem. “Mal,” called Selene, “Get the MobilBlade ready to leave for Cragorus. If this female Hoofar is anything like her father, we should get permission very quickly.” “And what if I want to stay here on the TidusBlade?” asked Jarody. “We already apologized for accusing you of hurting Christina,” said Selene. “What more do you want?” asked Salem. “I want to stay here on the TidusBlade,” said Jarody. Selene moves closer to Jarody, “But we need you with us to see!” “I know, to see the old crone. I’ll appear when I’m needed. If you two die, I lose my job. I remember how it is. I’ll be there,” said Jarody, “I just want to spend time with the good Captain, his lovely family, and my comfortable room.” “I think not,” said James, “You caused enough trouble on my ship, I won’t have you roaming the ship and pulling your pants down at random people.”

Chapter 30 – The Blade Masters were in Medical, recovering from their injuries and helping the Med staff. “I hope things get easier after this,” said Zealot. “What was hard about it?” asked Salem. “You didn’t have to swim in ice cold water with sharks wanting to eat you.” said Zealot. Vivien tries to use her PDA again with no success. “I do not think you were supposed to get that thing wet, Vivien,” said Selene. Detective Lagan and Detective Pacer were being treated for concussions and minor cuts with Emhril having a few deep cuts. Christina was in a guarded but stable condition. Christina had not been awakened by all the action that occurred during their fight against the megalodons. “What is wrong with her doctor?” asked Selene. “I’m not her doctor for this one. Very remarkably, Haiku has everything covered. I thought it best she care for Christina. I heard of a natural talent, but she seems to know more about medicine than I do,” said Dr. Billing. Selene went up to Haiku, who had the HealthBlade on her little back, and asked her about Christina. “Can we find a private place to talk?” asked Haiku. This worried Selene a great deal. “Dr. Billing?” called Selene. “Please, call me Legs,” said Dr. Billing. “Is there a private place I can take Haiku to talk?” asked Selene. “Sure, my office is soundproof. I’m very sympathetic to my patients but I need quiet to do on my paper work,” said Legs. “Thank you,” said Selene as she took Haiku with her HealthBlade into the doctor’s office.
