built to reach the heavens
comes crashing down, oh so close
time and time again…
hell is at the bottom
and the gods we reach for are an illusion.
prayer pacifies and comforts, but hard tangible facts is what turns our eyes to the sky and makes us one with the universe, if even for an instant…
