Chapter 26 – James made to lead the Blade Masters out of the bridge. “Um, is she going to be OK?” asked the Security Chief. Salem is still in a trance like state, her eyes fixed on the Security Chief. “Come on, Salem, we have to go,” said Selene taking her sister by the hand and pulling her to the door. “Captain,” called John who was still at the helm, “Another BoltBlade just pulled up to the platform. “I think we have more late night visitors,” said James. Salem’s eyes were still fixed on the Security Chief as she was led out. The group made their way down to the door leading out to the dock. “Are you a Blade Master, Captain?” asked Christina. “We are in his Blade right now, Christina,” said Selene. “What happened now?” asked Salem, just coming out of her trance. Two people make their way through the checkpoint and walk up to the TidusBlade’s doorway. The two look to be bickering with each other as they walk to them. A short guy in grey dress pants and a white buttoned shirt with a black tie, and a very tall woman making the man look like a midget, dressed like him but had a long flowing overcoat on. They arrive at the doorway where the group is waiting, “Hello there Captain James Koror,” said the man. “I’m Detective Lagan and this is Detective Pacer of the P.C.P.D.” said the woman. “You have a Mr. Wayne Marcus here with you?” asked Detective Pacer.
“You mean David Koror,” said Selene, “He was going under the name Wayne Marcus to hide his relation to the Koror family while he traveled alone.” “Well, Mr. David Koror, we need you to return to the Palace City with us,” said Detective Lagan. “Wait. He is not going anywhere. David is involved in a recovery mission for the Temple,” said Salem. “He’s witness to an ongoing investigation, he’s coming with us,” said Detective Pacer. “Temple business overpowers any police investigation,” said Selene. “Is he a member of the Temple? That law only works if David’s listed as an official member of the Temple of the Blades,” said Detective Lagan. Suddenly, the two detectives found themselves in the middle of a large group of men in blue TidusBlade uniforms. “David Koror is a member of my crew, and if you had not noticed, he is standing in my hold, putting him outside your jurisdiction,” said Captain Koror. “With all due respect Captain, the King has made this investigation a high priority. We need to question him for information,” said Detective Lagan. “Then question him on the TidusBlade. He is not leaving,” said James. “But we need him at the station to report our findings to Captain Waller as the information is passed to us from the questioning,” said Detective Pacer. “I’ll have an officer give a ComBlade to the BoltBlade pilot to take back to the station and you can call your captain from here,” said James, “The only thing I will not do is let you take my son.”
It was 4 AM when the white BoltBlade leaves with a ComBlade inside for Captain Waller. James, the Blade Masters and police detectives are shown to the living quarters. There will be two people for each quarters except for the vampire, Understandable, I want her in the brig for continued observation,” said James. Vivien’s jaw drops when she heard this. “Jim, I understand your position, but I do not like sticking poor Vivien in a cell just because she is a vampire,” said Selene. “She will be with me in my quarters,” said Christina. “I’ve dealt with vampires countless times. There is just no trusting them. Believe me, I’ve given them all a chance and it has always ended up being a pain in the neck,” said James. “The Captain doesn’t like the Klingons,” said Jarody. “The what?” asked James. “Never mind,” said Jarody rolling his eyes. “I will not have it. Vivien travels like the rest of us,” demanded Selene. “I’m trusting you to keep the vampire from harming anyone on this ship,” said James. “Thank you, Jim,” said Salem. “Now here is your hallway. Pick out your rooms,” said James, “You two will have this room, it’s the best room on the TidusBlade,” said James as he opened the metal door. The room was large like the twins’ room back at the temple. It had everything inside that could possibly be needed on a long trip and even huge mirrors that went from floor to ceiling showing a great view from three stories above the waterline. The other rooms were smaller but just as much a home as the twins’ room. Christina and Vivien take the room across the hall from the twins. Jarody and Zealot become roommates once Zealot returns from the storage hold. Emhril and Haiku had their own room across from Jarody and Zealot. The detectives wanted separate rooms but were only given the one. The Blade Masters returned to see the twins in their room. “Look at this place, you have more than one window and your bedroom is in another room,” said Jarody. “We should go see what is taking Mal and Zealot so long,” said Selene.
Captain Koror leads the Blade Masters to the storage hold leaving the detectives behind who were still fighting each other about the room. The group took a short trip in the elevator and down a few hallways to the double doors where the BoltBlade and the MobilBlade are. Both Blades were there along with Pixie Dust but no animals or Mal and Zealot. The black and gold BoltBlade was still on the moving platform but the platform was now over a large hole that led down to a big room with a huge object in it. The size of the people walking around on the floor below showed that it was a long way down. “Where is Mal and Zealot?” asked Selene. “They asked where they could put their horses and that wolf like thing, so a crewmember took them to the next room over there,” said Pixie pointing to double doors behind the BoltBlade. “That leads to the animal habitat area” said James as they walked to the doors. Crewmembers open the doors as they get near. Inside, the floor was covered with sawdust and hay with animals in stalls like cows and sheep. Birds like doves and chickens were on perches. On one perch was Knight, feeding on a freshly killed mouse in his claw. “Your owl knows better than to try and cross the sea on his own,” said James. “That is right, he will need to land somewhere, and he can not swim,” said Salem. “That reminds me, we need to get Rook and the GullBlade inside the ship as well” said Selene. “Sure, I’ll have the outer door opened for them now,” said James. The animal habitat area could not all be seen at once, they walked around a corner to see even more room in the habitat. After a few more corners, they found Mal and Zealot with Darkwind, Skyclap, Syntax, Raptor, Need A Smoke, and Brother In-law in individual stalls and Sturmer was sleeping on a pile of soft hay.
“There you guys are, we were waiting for a call or something,” said Salem. “We were busy with the horses,” said Zealot. The captain tells a crewmember to open a door to let in Selene’s falcon and Christina’s Blade. A door leading outside opened to show one of the suns were already starting to creep out from behind the horizon. James looked at his pocket watch, “Wow, almost dawn already.” “You lose sense of time inside the lit hallways, do you not?” asked Selene. “We usually have the day scheduled to the hour a day in advance but your visit just could not be put on paper,” said James. Selene blew her whistle to call Rook. “I think your whistle is broken,” said James. “That is right, you have not met Rook or Pawn,” said Salem. “Who?” asked James. Rook comes flying through the opened door and lands on Selene’s shoulder. This is my pet falcon, Rook. He is the master of the TalonBlade. It allows him to lift things up to a thousand times his own weight and this whistle makes a sound that is too high pitched for human’s to hear, but Rook can hear it just fine,” said Selene. “And this furry thing around my neck is Pawn,” said Salem as Pawn lifted his little head and yawned. This caught James off guard and caused him to jump back. “I thought that was a badly made mink!” said James. Pawn chirped angrily. “Pawn is the master of the ThievesBlade. The ThievesBlade can store anything not alive or without a soul in an alternate dimension we call the ThievesBlade’s void,” said Salem. “Well, I think we have a good place for him,” said James. “No, he stays with me,” said Salem.
“She’s here, man. I can’t believe it, that bitch is here,” said a voice in the darkness. “Let’s start the plan now,” said a second voice. “But the ships aren’t here yet!” said a third voice. “I said now,” said the second voice. The three men run out of the dark corner and over to the guard station. “Help!” yelled a prisoner, “some crates fell on a guard and he’s hurt badly!” The guard inside the fenced in area quickly opens his gate to run and help the injured guard but is sucker punched by another prisoner. The first prisoner reaches the guard station and jumps through the glassless window and attacks the guard inside. The last guard fumbles for his keys to open his side of the gate to run for help. The prisoner unlocks the large main gate as three prisoners gather inside the first holding area waiting to go through. The last guard gets through his gate and turns to close and lock the gate again. The gang of prisoners get through the gate and kick the next gate open before the guard could lock it and knocking the guard back at the same time. A few more prisoners come out of the darkness and run through the gates and gather at the other side where a few prisoners begin to search one of the guard’s keys for the one that unlocks the weapons shed that stood at the other side. Other prisoners run up the stairs that led up to the half finished BoltBlade platform and open the paint cans. Inside the paint cans were not paint, home made bombs were inside. A prisoner took a loose two-by-four and broke the glass behind the brown paper. Other prisoners lit the bombs and throw them down to where more guard stations were, surprising the guards inside. It was the explosions that were the first warning of what was happening. Guards and seamen of each ship took action. The Guards started to put the dock in lockdown while the ship personnel began to secure their ships or started to get ready to temporarily leave the port.
Captain Koror and the Blade Masters heard the explosion through the open door causing the Captain to call the main cargo hold, “What was that boom, Ensign McCloud?” “We are not sure, Captain, it was more of a series of explosions, we’re now closing the PortalBlade,” said Ensign McCloud. “Hurry Ensign McCloud, and get that Blade closed,” ordered James. “We will be outside,” said Selene as she and Salem jumped out of the open door. The other Blade Masters looked at each other and then fallowed the twins out the open door. The twins land on the wooden dock three stories below and rolled twice to break the fall. The others followed with Emhril screaming and landing hard on the dock. “Why did we just jump from a door so high above the ground?!” yelped Emhril. “The rest of us landed perfectly,” said Christina. “The rest of you are use to doing this sort of thing,” said Emhril. “These are prisoners, they are here to serve their time in jail, so no deadly force, only capture,” said Selene. Salem went from very ready to fight to very disappointed, “That just sucked the fun out of this. Pawn, Dummy Rounds, please,” said Salem. Pawn opened his void and a small box fell out as Salem took the firefly rounds out of her GunBlade. “Dummy Rounds?” asked Zealot. “They are just like the buckshot but the pellets are made of a bouncy like substance that will hurt but not kill,” said Selene. “And they really suck,” said Salem.
“Salem, take Emhril, David, and Christina to the left and Vivien, Zealot, and Jarody will come with me,” ordered Selene. “Where IS Jarody?” asked Zealot. The group looked up to see Jarody still standing at the other side of the door above them. “I’ll hang here and make sure the ship’s safe, after all we can’t all be on the dock and leave the TidusBlade undefended, not killing is just not me,” said Jarody. “They have hundreds of people in there to defend the ship!” yelled Zealot. “Let him stay, He is right, he cannot keep from killing,” said Selene. The group split with Salem, Emhril, David, and Christina running to the other end of the dock to check on the ships. Guards had the prisoners who they were supervising laying on the ground with their arms and legs crossed. Selene, Zealot, and Vivien run into the warehouse located close to the TidusBlade and back to the guarded checkpoint. The three turn the corner and are met by a flurry of flying arrows. Zealot blocks the arrows with is SabreBlade and Selene used her WitchBlade infection to form armor. Vivien got hit by several arrows and was thrown back. Zealot grabbed Vivien as they went back behind the corner. “Are they running over here?” asked Zealot. “No, they’re just blocking the checkpoint,” said Selene. Vivien gets up with nine arrows in her body. Vivien began to remove them from herself. “Hey! Don’t you want Haiku to get those out for you?” asked Zealot. Vivien continued to pull the arrows out not showing any indication of pain, but it was still very painful to watch her do it. Trying to get his mind away from Vivien, Zealot asks Selene, “Why are they standing there, Can’t they run to make a getaway?” “That is only the checkpoint that leads to the dock, the checkpoint that leads out of the city will have better security and would be an army of guards at those gates by now,” said Selene, “I think they are keeping those gates secure so no more guards can enter the dock area. I think the prisoners are waiting for a ship.”
Captain Koror, Haiku and Jarody enter the bridge as battle stations were called and bells began ringing all over the TidusBlade. James sat on his large Captain’s Chair and began to bark orders, “Harke, Are we secure?” “The PortalBlade has been closed as soon as you ordered it, but we still have some guards and prisoners in the hold,” said Lieutenant Harke. “Send extra security down to help the guards,” said James. “Captain, we lost contact with our dock crews. We are still tied to the dock,” said Ensign John. “Get someone out there to un-tether us,” said James. “We already have someone out there,” said Jarody. “You’re right. Lieutenant Harke, contact Selene, She can get us loose,” ordered James. Selene was holding on to the ground as the WitchBlade infection slowly made its way to the guard station. Selene had her eyes closed and seeing in her mind the infection as it closes in on the guard station now occupied by two convicts and every inch of fence were prisoners with bows and arrows. Above them all on the BoltBlade track were more prisoners on the platform and on the main part of the track strapping something together. Selene was planning to use the infection to take over the two in the guard station and have them close and lock the gate, after that the infection would break the lock where it will never be opened ever again until the right people can make repairs. The WitchBlade Infection was still inching along the small space between the wall and the ground. The suns were coming up from the ocean blinding the blockade of archer convicts who shot at any moving shadow. Vivien was fighting the habit of running for a cave or a dark place to hide from the two suns when the ComBlade in Selene’s pocket began to ring with a steady tone. “Answer it Zealot,” said Selene. Zealot was somewhat hesitant to reach into Selene’s pocket. “Zealot, you have already been in my pants many times before, now get my ComBlade,” said Selene still trying to concentrate on what the infection was doing. Zealot reached in and pulled out the ComBlade to see that 000 was calling. “Who is zero, zero, zero?” asked Zealot. “That is the TidusBlade’s main ComBlade. Answer it,” said Selene as the infection reached the wall of the checkpoint. The image of the TidusBlade’s bridge appeared on the ComBlade with the crew looking at him. “Where’s Selene?” asked James. “She’s very busy, what do you need?” asked Zealot. “We need to be freed from the dock,” said James. “I’m on it,” said Zealot as he clicked off the ComBlade and put it back in Selene’s pants. “I’ll be back,” said Zealot as he ran back to the TidusBlade.
The convicts up on the BoltBlade track made a bridge of wood and had hid it in the maintenance pit of the track and were now extending it across to the roof of the next building. They secured the bridge and quickly made their way across it with more paint cans filled with bombs in both of their hands. Salem was helping a guard take the prisoners to a nearby locker so they can turn their attention on the prisoners who were still on the loose. Christina and Emhril were doing the same as David helped untie the ropes to allow the ships to leave the dock. Something glinted as it fell down from the roof of the warehouse then exploded with great force. The explosion was close to Salem and the guards, knocking them off their feet. One guard got a face full of shrapnel and began to scream with pain. Salem ran closer to the ships in order to see what was on the roof. A few convicts’ heads bobbed up then back down out of sight. “Pawn!” yelled Salem, “ThievesBlade’s void!” Pawn jumped off of his master’s shoulder and opened the void as more bombs were thrown from the roof. Each one was sucked up by the void with a few explosions erupting as they went in. “Pawn’s Jaw cannot stay open forever, we need to get up there!” yelled Salem as she ran to a guard. “You’ll have to use the catwalk on the inside of the building,” said the guard. “I can fly up there,” said Christina. “There are too many,” said Salem. “I have a way to get up there,” said Emhril. “Great idea, do it,” said Salem, “Stay here Christina, until Pawn gets too tired to hold open the void, then bring him up to me, by then I will need more ammunition.” Emhril threw the EarthBlade up to the roof and grabbed the chain when it was over the edge while Salem grabs Emhril. The EarthBlade landed on the roof and fell through the sheet metal to begin falling from the roof to the warehouse floor below pulling both Emhril and Salem up to the top. Salem let go of Emhril and landed on the roof with Emhril hitting the edge of the roof. Salem clicks her GunBlade and starts firing at will at any target. Prisoners fell like tin soldiers when they were hit by the rubber pellets. “Was a great idea, Emhril,” said Salem. Emhril, still hanging on the edge of the building’s roof, “Didn’t work out like I planned. Was thinking that it would get stuck up here and we would use the chain to climb up.”
Zealot was back at the TidusBlade to find TidusBlade crewmembers fighting with prisoners. Zealot ran and gave his SabreBlade’s hilt a squeeze releasing the eternity chain inside and aiming for the far end of the dock. The sharp steel fell on each of the ropes, slicing them as if they were made of parchment. The TidusBlade was now free to leave the dock. Zealot now concentrated on the prisoners as the crewmembers ran for the last open door and jumped through as it closed. “Slowly out, Ensign John,” said Captain Koror. “Captain, a fleet of ships are closing in,” said Lieutenant Harke standing at a console on the left side of the bridge. “They are all flying the pirate colors, Captain,” said Commander Ajax sitting on the seat at the left of the captain. “Pirates don’t organize fleets,” said James. “I can only guess that they are here to free their comrades,” said Commander Ajax. “That’s still out of character for pirates,” said James. Three of the largest ships in the pirate fleet turned to the left and the cannon ports open. “They are getting ready to fire,” said Lieutenant Harke. “They also got every ship at the dock blocked in, there is no way around,” said Commander Ajax. “We should dive,” said Legs sitting on the right side of the Captain. “Ensign Jeff, close the watertight doors now, get the TidusBlade ready to dive Ensign John,” ordered James. “Yes, Captain,” said both men at the helm. The cannons on the three ships fire, two of the cannonballs hit the TidusBlade, one hitting the hull and not making a dent, the other hitting a philosophers’ research tower and knocking off one of the support cables. The other cannonballs hit the other ships and sections of the dock. “Captain, the main research tower just lost a support cable keeping it from properly retracting down. It is stuck,” said Ensign Jeff. “We cannot close the doors with that tower up,” said Commander Ajax. “Get crews to repair that tower now, until then, evade them and head back to the dock to shield the ships from attack,” ordered James. “I have a crew of men ready to try the new Blade Runners,” said Lieutenant Harke. “I still think there’s something missing from your design Wayne,” said James. “I’m sure I got everything covered,” said Lieutenant Harke. The Captain thinks about it for a few seconds. “Launch them,” said the Captain.
Selene’s WitchBlade Infection makes it up the wall and into the guard station. “Where did they go?” asked Selene. Selene opened her eyes to see she was alone in the building. She knew that Zealot left to untie the TidusBlade from the dock, but Vivien was also gone. Then a whistling was getting closer and closer. Selene gets to her feet and looks outside to see a cannonball heading her way. It was too late to jump out of the way and her WitchBlade Infection needed to regenerate after extending the long distance, nothing for Selene to do but stand there and scream. Vivien jumps from above and slices the momentum off the iron ball causing it to stop and fall to the ground where she had cut it off. “Where did you go?” asked Selene. Vivien signs, “Went to see if Zealot needed help, you were too busy to interrupt with reading my sign or texting you with my PDA.” “You could have left a message on your PDA and left it here for me to read,” said Selene. Vivien closes her eyes and hits her forehead with the palm of her hand. “Oops, is right,” said Selene. “Zealot does need our help,” signs Vivien, “The crewmembers left him with a group of prisoners.” More whistling can be heard approaching their directions. The two women run to the dock where the TidusBlade was and Vivien signs, “And a group of ships are firing on the docks.” Things are getting confusing. The two reach the now TidusBladeless dock where Zealot had put his SabreBlade away and was using his fists and freshly grown tail to fight off a gang of over ten prisoners. “Remember, no killing” said Selene. “Wish they felt the need to do the same thing!” yelled Zealot. Vivien clotheslines a few prisoners then jumps up in the air for a new attack. A few prisoners wait for Vivien to come back down so they can grab her but she does not come down. Vivien just hangs there in the air looking at them with her legs up ready to kick. She appeared to be stuck in time hanging in the air ready to attack. Zealot sweeps his tail across the ground knocking all the distracted prisoners off their feet and knocking them out. Vivien lands on the ground. “Old gimmick, new twist,” said Zealot with Vivien nodding her head in agreement. Selene was doing high flips and twists in the air heading to a group of six prisoners. The prisoners reach out to grab Selene but she kicks and uses all six of them like stepping stones and lands on the other side. The prisoners turned to face her again but were blindsided by Zealot and Vivien who jumps in and starts side kicking a few heads. Selene’s feeling in her left hand returned meaning the WitchBlade had regenerated and was ready to use. Selene grabbed the last prisoner with her WitchBlade and started to infect him. “Now we will see what is going on here,” said Selene as the infection starts to cover the prisoner.
Salem and Emhril are on the roof of the main sorting building of the dock fighting off bomb wielding prisoners. Emhril swings his EarthBlade around knocking prisoners off the roof. Salem adds a special timer made to activate the trigger while the GunBlade is in the air. Salem sets the timer to fire the GunBlade every quarter second. “Emhril, get behind me!” called Salem. Emhril runs to her and stands behind her. “Closer, Emhril” said Salem. “You mean touching you?” asked Emhril. “Yes, back up on me!” said Salem with a tone of haste in her voice. Emhril backs up onto Salem. He could feel Salem’s soft round ass behind him and her small muscles in her shoulder blades moving around. “No matter what happens, do not move!” instructed Salem. Salem jumped up with a twist and pulled the trigger giving the GunBlade the kick needed to spin so fast in the air, it appeared to become a disk. The GunBlade in it’s Death Disk Mode, spun just above Salem and Emhril as Salem yelled, “Brutal Blossom!” and the GunBlade fired the Dummy Rounds all around them hitting every prisoner on the roof and knocking them down. The GunBlade ran out of Dummy Rounds and began to slow down as Salem jumped up with a twist again and caught her Blade. Emhril was still standing on the roof petrified and sticking close to Salem. “Emhril, you can stop rubbing my ass now,” said Salem. Emhril jumped forward as soon as he heard her voice. Christina came flying down with Pawn in her hands looking very tired. “Brutal Blossom? But that looked to be your Death Blossom attack,” said Christina. “Not with these rounds,” said Salem. “Girls,” called a frightened Emhril, “can Pawn open his mouth one more time?” “Why?” asked Salem as she turned to Emhril, however the turn showed her the reason for Emhril’s question. “Cause we need him to catch a few more things,” said Emhril as he turned from the cannonballs flying to them to look at Salem. To their relief, the iron balls fell short and did not land on the thin metal roof. What was not good was the balls hit the ships just leaving the dock and the dock itself. David was still on the dock fighting off the few prisoners who fell off the roof but were still healthy enough to get up.
The TidusBlade moved in between the ships at the dock and the approaching pirate fleet. “Launching the Blade Runners,” reported Lieutenant Harke. Doors at the underside of the front of the TidusBlade, opened and out came four smaller versions of the TidusBlade gliding out of the door and through the water with two people in each. “The Blade Runners have left the TidusBlade and are heading over to the ships just under the surface,” said Lieutenant Harke. “Great work, Harke. Do we have intelligence on the fleet yet, Ajax?” asked James. “Yes Captain, the only three Sea Class ships they have are stationary and are sending volleys of cannon fire to the dock, they have four smaller Frigate Class ships approaching the docks and only one huge Colloquy Class ship further out to sea,” reported Commander Ajax. “Any idea how the Colloquy Class ship fits into the pirates attack?” asked James. “They are staying just outside the continental shelf and they appear to be anchored, I think it is only serving as a mobile command center,” said Commander Ajax. “I suggest we forget that ship and focus our attention on the ships that are attacking,” said Lieutenant Harke. “Just what I was thinking,” said James, “Legs, get your medical team ready, we’re returning the attack. Commander Ajax, recommendations on where to start,” ordered James. “I would stop the Sea Class ships first since they are causing the most damage,” recommended Commander Ajax. “Have each of the Blade Runners attack the smaller ships,” said Lieutenant Harke. “Have them do so,” said James. Snickering, Jarody says, “Make is so.” “Any progress made on the support cable on the tower?” asked James. “They are almost done with the repairs, Captain. Only a matter of minutes now,” said Ensign Jeff. “Let me know when repairs are complete and we can close the doors,” said James. “Yes, Captain,” responded Ensign Jeff. The TidusBlade leaves the other ships at the dock and makes a wide turn to head for the three medium ships.
The WitchBlade Infection had covered the prisoner and held him in a trance like state. “How are you planning to escape?” asked Selene. In a monotone voice, the prisoner said, “I am not planning on escaping.” “Why were you attacking the TidusBlade?” asked Selene. The prisoner responds in the same monotone voice, “To allow others to sneak onboard.” “Zealot!” called Selene. “I’m already calling them,” said Zealot punching 000 in his ComBlade. “Is all of this a plan to get your people on the TidusBlade?” asked Selene. The monotoned prisoner responds, “No, the plan is to free a man in the high security cell block.” “I can’t raise them,” said Zealot. Vivien pulls out her ComBlade and dials 001. “Who is the man being freed?” asked Selene. “I was not told his name,” said the prisoner. Vivien takes out her PDA and writes, “The Captain can’t be raised either.” “Call Jarody,” said Selene, “Who wants the man freed?” “A pirate leader named The Master,” said the infected prisoner. “If only one person is being freed, why are you all risking your limited freedom for this?” asked Selene. The prisoner says, “To overthrow the King, free us all, and give the!” Shuut, was the sound of an arrow as it flew through the air and entered the infected prisoner’s eye and just stuck out the back of his head. The prisoner falls as more arrows whiz over them. Selene, Vivien and Zealot with his ComBlade take cover behind a nearby crate. Zealot dials in 471. In the bridge of the TidusBlade, alarm bells ring and reports and commands were being barked. Over the noise, Jarody hears his ComBlade ringing and answers it. The image of Zealot up against a crate and arrows flying over him appeared in the ComBlade. “Having fun?” asked Jarody. “I got him,” said Zealot to someone not seen on Jarody’s ComBlade, “There are some prisoners on the TidusBlade, You must find them!” “I already know and they are trapped in the cargo hold,” said Jarody, “The Captain closed the door too fast for them to leave.” “No! More had got onboard while the dock crew was trying to free the TidusBlade from the dock!” yelled Zealot. “Sigh, I guess I better find these prisoners,” said Jarody as he turned his ComBlade off and made to leave the bridge with Legs. “Can I come with you Dr. Billing?” asked Haiku. “Sure you can little one,” said Legs. “Where are you going, Jarody?” asked James. “There’s a few things I need to check on,” said Jarody as he stepped into the lift. “We’re pinned down,” said Selene, “Is Jarody telling the Captain about the prisoners and sending someone to help us?” “Not sure if he told the Captain,” Said Zealot, “as for sending help, considering that he didn’t ask were we are, I think we’re on our own.” Vivien signs, “We call Salem?” “No, she may be as busy as we are,” said Selene.
“Emhril, you go back down and help David. Christina, come with me. I’m going to find out how they got up here,” said Salem. Emhril looked back down and wondered how he was going to do it. He made his EarthBlade Heavy so It would stay up in the roof but the weight was too much as the roof gave way and Emhril fell down to the warehouse floor. It was the shockwave caused by the EarthBlade hitting the ground that kept Emhril from getting hurt on the way down. Salem and Christina look back where Emhril was after they heard the noise. “Not how I would have chosen to get back to the dock,” said Salem. The two women ran to the other side of the roof to find a wooden bridge connecting the roof to the BoltBlade track and on the track were prisoners shooting at a wooden crate on the dock of which looked to be a pin cushion will all the arrows stuck into it. Christina grabbed the hilts of her duel swords as Salem reloaded the last clip of Dummy Rounds she had. They both pounce on the group of archers with Salem firing her gun and Christina chopping up their bows. Salem knocks them all off the track to the ground four stories down. “Why were they shooting at the box?” asked Christina. “I think it is because it has a snake behind it,” said Salem pointing at the long green thing coming from behind the box. Then Vivien’s head pops up. “Correction, a snake with the head of a vampire,” said Christina. Selene, Vivien and Zealot came out from behind the box. “What happened?!” asked Salem. “I was interrogating a prisoner when we were attacked!” yelled Selene. “Wait there, we will be right down!” yelled Salem. “Wait! They were strapping something to the track up there! Can you see what it is?!” yelled Selene. “Sure thing!” yelled back Salem. Salem and Christina look at the track and see something sparkling heading to a large bundle of bombs. Salem and Christina turn and run to the end of the track to use the bumper at the end as a gymnastic horse as Christina grabbed Salem and they both glided down to Selene and the others. “What happened?” asked Selene. A huge explosion blasted through the track separating the platform from the rest of the now falling track. “That is what happened,” said Salem. One section of the track pulled down another until the track fell on top of the main prison, destroying the wall in a cell block. The prisoners inside saw the opportunity and took it by running out through the destruction that was once a wall. “So that is how they were planning on getting past the high security,” said Selene. “What? You lost me. Mind filling me in?” asked Salem. “Not sure I understand it my self,” said Selene.
The TidusBlade was running at full speed heading to the bow of the first ship. “Ramming speed Ensign John, let’s show them what we’re made of,” said James. The loud cracking of wood could be heard as the steel hull of the TidusBlade slices the first ship in half from bow to stern. The Blade Masters on the dock turn to see what was going on. “I got a plan,” said Selene, “we need to get everyone on the roof of the warehouse.” “Hold it there leader, I do not think James will agree with it, He has never used it since that day,” said Salem. “What day?” asked Christina. “We will tell you later, right now, go get the people up there. I think that is why they were guarding the rooftop so the TidusBlade could not be used,” said Selene. Christina, Zealot and Vivien ran to the other end of the dock where David and Emhril were as the twins stayed by the still standing platform section of the BoltBlade Track. “I will call James,” said Salem. “Good luck,” said Selene, “We tried doing that earlier.” James appeared on Salem’s ComBlade. “Captain Koror, What do you need Salem?” asked James. “What?! Where were you when I tried calling you earlier?” asked Selene. “That is funny, I had my ComBlade made to accept your calls since you are as important as my officers,” said James. “You mean the ComBlades can be made to only take certain calls?” asked Salem. “Well, yes. Otherwise I will be getting called by everyone on the TidusBlade who had a complaint or a child playing around with their ComBlades,” said James. “How about when we tried to call the TidusBlade itself?” asked Selene. “Oh, when we are in battle mode, the ship’s ComBlade System is left off incase the enemy wanted to show that they want to talk or have given up. While we are in Battle mode and you need to call us, contact Lieutenant Harke. He will patch you through,” said James. “Where was this info when we needed it?” said Selene. James, we have something very important to ask you! By the way, you have a section of a ship stuck on the back of the TidusBlade,” said Salem. “I’ll open a door to let you onto the ship,” said James. “You can do that?” asked Selene. “No problem at all,” said James. “Ok but Selene is staying here. I am out of Dummy Rounds so I am no longer useful here,” said Salem. Selene nodded her head and ran down the dock to join the others. The TidusBlade was in the middle of slicing the last ship in half when it stopped and a doorway leading into the hold opened on the dock. Salem ran through the door as it closed again and ran for the door at the other end of the hold that led to the hallway to the lift to the bridge.
Salem arrives on the bridge and goes over to James. “We need to talk,” said Salem. “Ajax, take the bridge,” said James as he and Salem went into the Captain’s Office. “James, We need you to use Tidus,” said Salem. “Tidus?! How? If you want me to use it on the large ship, it’s not attacking and the small ships are just arriving at the dock. An attack on those ships will destroy them and the dock and the buildings. I can’t, I won’t,” said James. “James, we have a plan to defuse the Tidus Wave before the buildings are affected,” said Salem. “What about the dock?” asked James. “The target IS the dock. With out a dock, they cannot complete their plan,” said Salem. On the dock, all of the ships were pulling out now that the cannon fire had stopped and the people who were left on the dock and the prisoners in the lockers were being moved up onto the roof of the sorting warehouse. “Hurry!” yelled Selene as the large group of guards, seamen and prisoners where led to the steps of the BoltBlade platform to get to the wooden bridge that was still there to the roof of the sorting house. The fence around the steps would require them to go past the steps to go out the three gates of the guard station then head back to the steps behind a wall. Selene had a short cut. “Emhril, use the EarthBlade to knock a hole in this wall,” commanded Selene. Emhril, still sore from his fall walks up to the wall and swings his EarthBlade with a great force hitting the wall and stopping it before it touched the steps on the other side. A section of the wall collapsed leaving a hole large enough for anyone to jump through. The Guards take over leading seamen and prisoners up the steps. David was walking in a half hearted way. “David, what is wrong?” asked Selene. “I haven’t been much help. All I’ve been doing is untie the ships and fight off a few injured prisoners,” said David, “You and the others were all over the dock fighting and being in the middle of explosions.” “That is not as exciting as it sounds,” said Selene, “But you are in luck. We need you and your TsunamiBlade.” “What?” said a shocked David. “Let’s get to the roof and I will explain,” said Selene. “The Tidus Wave will be used to destroy the dock and the TsunamiBlade’s Tsunami Wave at full power will take away some power from the Tidus Wave. Yes, the water will still wash into the buildings but the buildings will still stand and the rioting prisoners will be washed back to the main prison,” said Salem, “Jim, we do not have the convenience of time on our side. The man they were planning to free is out and running to the dock where the pirate ships are docked now. Tidus must be used now.” “Who is the master of the TsunamiBlade?” asked James. Salem hesitated. “Who is the one I have to put a lot of trust in to save those buildings from the Tidus Wave, Salem?” asked James in an insistent voice. “Your son, David is the master of the TsunamiBlade.” “My son?” asked James as he fell back on his chair in his office, “You not only want to use the all destructive Tidus Wave on a dock full of people, it must be used while my son is there?” “We must not let feelings get in our way. Your son will do his part. Will you do yours?” asked Salem.
The four smaller ships had made it to the dock and fully armed pirates flooded out and took over the dock. Zealot used his SabreBlade to destroy the wooden bridge and Christina used the GullBlade’s Phoenix mode to melt the access hatch shut that led to the inside catwalk of the warehouse. “We are secure!” reported Christina. Selene and David were standing at the edge of the roof looking out over the tall pirate ships and to the TidusBlade. “Are you sure he will use Tidus?” asked David. “There is no other way without killing the prisoners,” said Selene. The Captain and Salem return to the bridge. “Captain on the bridge,” said Lieutenant Harke as everyone stood at attention. James returned to his chair, “Report.” “The Frigate Class ships have reached the dock and the crews are disembarking. They have taken over the dock, Captain,” reported Commander Ajax. “My apologies Captain, the Blade Runners were ineffective,” said Lieutenant Harke. “That is Ok Wayne, there is still something missing we have not thought of yet,” said James. “The Blade Runners have returned to the TidusBlade, Captain,” said Lieutenant Harke. The bridge rolled and moved with the waves. The rest of the ship was held in their own gravity to the point of not feeling any movement at all. A person would easily mistake being in a building on solid ground if not for the fact that they entered a ship. The Bridge was left without for navigation reasons. “Ensign Jeff, activate the alt-gravity for the bridge. Lieutenant Harke, close and lock down all external doors. Is the cable in the tower repaired?” asked James. “It has been repaired and we are ready to close the large doors,” said Ensign Jeff. “Then close them and warn the deck crew. We are calling Tidus,” said the Captain.
The pirates were now shooting up at the roofs and others where pulling the cannons out from the ramparts and on to the dock to get them ready to destroy the roof from under the people who stood there. Behind them, the TidusBlade began to close the two main doors and the back end extended to reveal an enormous hilt. Behind the TidusBlade, a geyser of water erupts and begins to take form. Inside the bridge a bright blue light shines from under and above Captain Koror. The lights seemed to lift him off the chair as it folded back into a compartment under the feet of Lieutenant Harke. James was suspended in the air and the image of the outside world surrounded him. A small hilt floated down and hung in the air before him. An image of water appeared around him and the hilt looked to be floating on it and attached to a small transparent version of the TidusBlade. Salem and the bridge crew could see James but all James sees and feels is himself in waist deep water and the TidusBlade plus hilt the size of a short sword and the dock as small as a walking deck with tiny ships in front of him. On the roof, everyone sees a tall water giant standing behind the TidusBlade. The giant towered over everything and even though it’s waist deep in the water it was taller then any tower in the city. “It’s Tidus, Caretaker of the Sea!!!” yelled a seaman. “Tidus has returned!” yelled a prisoner. “No,” said Selene in a low voice only David could hear, “Only his body, Tidus’ soul had joined his father’s a long time ago.” “Tidus!” random people continued to yell. “Remember, timing is very important. You must put all you can in the Tsunami Wave. Tidus reached down to grab the hilt of his Blade. In the bridge, James reached down to grab the small hilt attached to the blue transparent copy of the TidusBlade. James picked up the hilt as Tidus picked up the TidusBlade. James could feel the wind resistance on his arms making it hard to move very fast. James knew that any movement, no matter how slow had a ton of power behind it. James lifted the hilt over his head and yelled, “Tidus Wave!” Tidus lifted his blade over his head and made a deafening roar. Tidus slashed at the water with a great sweep creating a huge wave rolling to the Hellion dock. David saw the large wave heading to them and tried his best to swallow his fear as he got ready to do his Tsunami Wave. The wave hit the pirate ships, turning them into toothpicks and now destroying the dock. “Now, David!” ordered Selene. “Tsunami Wave!” yelled David as he slashed his Blade. A large wave of energy looking much like water rolled out of the TsunamiBlade and collided with the Tidus Wave. The two forces met and exploded with a shockwave that knocked everyone off their feet. A man appears on the BoltBlade platform holding a wooden board. “Captain Crellis?” said David. The Tidus Wave was cut down to half it’s size and washed over the ground washing pirate and prisoners still on the ground to the main prison where thousands of guards in riot gear wait for them. The water begins to wash back out to sea and the man on the platform jumps off and onto the board he was carrying. The man landed on the water as it rushed off the land and he began to ride the small wave to the large ship anchored farther out. On the bow of the last ship, stood General Carcass and his Hyper Velocity Cannon on his shoulder. David called Lieutenant Harke on his ComBlade, “Wayne! That man! You need to stop the man on the board!” Hearing this, Lieutenant Harke hit a few switches and spoke in to a cone, “Captain, a man is approaching the Colloquy Class ship on a board. He is a prisoner, we must stop him!” James could only hear a faint echo of Lieutenant Harke but he learned to listen for it and understood what had to be done. He looked around the water for the man but was hard to do when anyone to him was the size of a single sugar ant. James had found the man riding on the wave being made by the back wash. “Hyper Velocity Cannon!” yells General Carcass as his cannon charges up and fires on Tidus’ back. The energy hits the Caretaker and the energy shreds all over his body. James is hit by a large electric shock and passes out. The light around James turns off and James falls to the floor. Salem runs and catches the Captain. Salem forgot that he was heavier than her and catching him hurt her more then saved him. Tidus fell back into the sea dropping the TidusBlade. The man on the board caught the new wave made by the falling Tidus and made it all the way to the large pirate ship. The ship opened sails and made a fast getaway. The TidusBlade turned until it was upright again and the hilt retracted back inside. All Selene and the other could do was watch and wait for the authorities to come and get them off the roof.
